What has changed in Brazilian healthtech in recent years

Healthtech in Brazil used to be synonymous with a distant promise: a lot of expectation, little real adoption outside large networks. That picture has changed concretely in recent years.

Clearer regulation around electronic health records and health data handling gave predictability to those who used to hesitate on digitizing out of fear of falling out of compliance.

Adoption of digital channels, WhatsApp above all, stopped being a large-clinic differentiator and became the patient's default expectation, including in smaller cities and independent clinics.

Buyers have also matured: the question stopped being "is this innovative?" and became "does this solve my operational problem and fit my budget?" A more deliberate decision, a more rational sales cycle.

The result is a less hype-driven, more operational market: less talk about total transformation, more concrete adoption of tools that solve a real day-to-day bottleneck in the clinic.
